The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) unveiled new research data today (10/4) demonstrating that the Country music audience is primed for significant growth in the streaming space. Key takeaways from the data include streaming services currently under-delivering on Country music discovery; the elevated average streaming rates of paid adopters versus free streaming users; the significantly higher amounts of spending from paid streaming service users in the music space; and non-streamers' confusion surrounding streaming platforms.
"What we found in our research is exciting and very timely," said CMA SR. Dir./Consumer Research KAREN STUMP. "As our genre continues to exceed industry averages for year-over-year growth in audio streaming consumption, the time is now to build on opportunities to meet this growing consumer demand."
