iHEARTMEDIA Sports KJR-A/SEATTLE morning show host MITCH LEVY has exited the station in the wake of his AUGUST arrest for patronizing a prostitute. LEVY posted a message on Twitter to announce his exit, apologizing for the incident and thanking the station for his 23 year tenure with KJR.
The SEATTLE TIMES reports that LEVY entered an Alford plea (an acknowledgement of enough evidence for conviction without a formal guilty plea) in the case and received a sentence of 24 months of probation plus a deferred sentence that will be dismissed if he completes probation without being charged with another crime. He was one of 110 men arrested in the undercover operation.
As most of you realize by now, my 23 year tenure at KJR is over. I am fully aware that I have disappointed so many.. pic.twitter.com/DAMyQ2MSGL
