Hockey podcaster and writer GREG WYSHYNSKI is joining ESPN to cover the NHL across the network's platforms. WYSHYNSKI, the co-host of the "MAREK VS. WYSHYNSKI" podcast with JEFF MAREK for CANADA's SPORTSNET and the independently-produced "PUCK SOUP" with DAVE LOZO, is joining EMILY KAPLAN on the hockey beat for ESPN beginning OCTOBER 16th. He recently left YAHOO! SPORTS, where he served as creator and Editor-in-Chief of the PUCK DADDY blog, after nine years. WYSHYNSKI said that "PUCK SOUP" will continue, and "MAREK VS. WYSHINSKI" will end, "But it will not be the final time JEFF MAREK and I are spitting hockey takes. Stay tuned...."
“GREG is a trailblazer when it comes to NHL coverage and has cultivated a passionate following among people who care about the NHL, which includes both fans and league insiders,” said Senior Deputy Editor, Daily Coverage MARY BYRNE. “We think he’ll bring an audience with him to ESPN and also find a legion of new readers, listeners and viewers as he delivers across platforms here. We’re excited to have him.”
