Atlanta’s 99X Celebrates 25th Anniversary On October 26th With The Morning X Reunion From 6-10a

STEVE BARNES, LESLIE FRAM AND JIMMY BARON will return to the ATLANTA airwaves for the first time in more than a decade for a special four-hour morning show on CUMULUS Alternative WWWQ-HD2 (99X)/ATLANTA on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 26th as part of 99X’s 25th Anniversary celebration. It marks the exact date of when THE MORNING X launched 25 years ago.  BARNES, LESLIE AND JIMMY spent over 10 years as THE MORNING X on 99X before the station moved online in 2003.  The station most recently re-branded as 99X on WWWQ-HD2 almost two years ago (NET NEWS, 1/4/16).

CUMULUS/ATLANTA VP/Market Mgr. SEAN SHANNON said, "25 years ago this month, 99X signed on the air, giving ATLANTA a radio station committed to new music discovery, the local music scene and to building community. That’s the DNA for 99X today and we are proud to celebrate that heritage with, for one morning, the return of THE MORNING X.”

FRAM was also formerly the PD at 99X; she is currently SVP for COUNTRY MUSIC TELEVISION in NASHVILLE. BARNES is President of ATLANTA-based video production company, BARNES CREATIVE STUDIOS. BARON is a Realtor for KELLER WILLIAMS REALTY in ATLANTA.
