The ATLANTA JOURNAL-CONSTITUTION's true-crime podcast BREAKDOWN enters its fifth season TODAY (10/16). The show, launched in 2015 and claiming over 8 million downloads to date, will examine the TEX MCIVER case, in which the lawyer faces murder charges but claims he shot his wife accidentally while driving through Midtown ATLANTA last SEPTEMBER, in the new season. Legal Affairs Writer BILL RANKIN returns to host the show.
"The mission of BREAKDOWN is to bring meaning and context and balance to the legal complexities and raw emotion of crime and punishment," said producer and AJC editor RICHARD HALICKS. "And quite often, to spotlight the many ways in which the criminal justice system breaks down."
