WBAL, WIYY (98 Rock), WBAL-TV/Baltimore Extend Media Partnership For Baltimore Running Festival

HEARST News-Talk WBAL-A, Active Rock WIYY (98 ROCK), and NBC affiliate WBAL-TV 11/BALTIMORE have renewed their deal with CORRIGAN SPORTS to serve as exclusive Media Partners of the BALTIMORE RUNNING FESTIVAL. The stations have been the exclusive media partners of the event since its inception 17 years ago; the new deal takes the relationship through 2022.
“98 ROCK and WBAL NEWSRADIO 1090 are honored to join WBAL-TV11 as key media partners for this BALTIMORE tradition and are ready to provide live, comprehensive radio coverage of this year’s RUNNING FESTIVAL on AM 1090 & FM 97.9, and via our mobile apps,” said WBAL-WIYY President/GM CARY PAHIGIAN.
“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with the BALTIMORE RUNNING FESTIVAL and CORRIGAN SPORTS,” said WBAL-TV President/GM DAN JOERRES. “Every OCTOBER, our team looks forward to covering this terrific event, from the kids fun run to the marathon itself. Showcasing BALTIMORE CITY locally on live television and around the globe through our digital livestream is further proof that WBAL-TV is committed to coverage on every platform."
CORRIGAN SPORTS President LEE CORRIGAN said, “We are thrilled to continue our relationship with WBAL-TV, WBAL NEWSRADIO 1090 and 98 ROCK. They were there for us when we started this event 17 years ago and (we) will look forward to their continued support of one of BALTIMORE’s crown jewels.”
