  The KANSAS CITY STAR is reporting that UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI men's basketball radio color commentator GARY LINK has been fired, just before the start of the 2017-18 season.
  The school announced THURSDAY (10/19) that LINK, with MIZZOU as a radio analyst since 1996 and a player for the TIGERS in 1970-74, "has been relieved of his duties with MIZZOU athletics, however, it would be inappropriate to comment further on a personnel matter. The athletic department is working with (LEARFIELD's) MIZZOU SPORTS PROPERTIES to identify a replacement for our radio broadcasts moving forward.”
  The STAR added that sideline reporter CHRIS GERVINO will take LINK's place for SUNDAY's broadcast of the MISSOURI-KANSAS game in KANSAS CITY.
