EDUCATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO, INC. is selling noncommercial AC KRSA (RELAX 103.3)/MOSS BEACH, CA and BROADCAST TOWERS is selling K277CH/SAN FRANCISCO to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $414,000 ($389,000 for KRSA and $25,000 for K277CH).
In other filings with the FCC, WILLIAM E. AMOS and SUSAN AMOS are selling their interests (51% and 49%, respectively) of COMMUNITY MEDIA GROUP, LLC, licensee of Triple A WVMP (101.5 THE MOUNTAIN)/VINTON-ROANOKE, VA to TODD ROBINSON's LYNCHBURG RADIO GROUP for $250,000 ($225,000 in 5%, five-year promissory notes, $12,500 prior deposit, and $12,500 cash). ROBINSON's WVJT, LLC operated the station under an LMA during part of 2016 and had a deal filed with the FCC to buy the station for $600,000, but the deal never closed.
BEAVER RADIO, INC. has applied for an STA to operate Religion KEZB/BEAVER, UT with reduced power of 25 watts to address interference issues.
PUERTO RICO PUBLIC BROADCASTING CORPORATION has requested a Silent STA for WIPR-F/SAN JUAN and WIPM-TV/MAYAGUEZ, PR due to damage from Hurricane Maria.
And SUN VALLEY MEDIA GROUP, LLC has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for KPTO-A/POCATELLO, ID while transmitter repairs continue.
Also, JAMES ANDERSON's TEJAS BROADCASTING, LTD. has closed on the sale of Rhythmic AC KQFX (WILD 104.3)/BORGER-AMARILLO, TX to MARIA CENICEROS' VIVA MEDIA, LLC for $650,000. MEDIA SERVICES GROUP's BILL WHITLEY and GEORGE REED represented the seller and DAVE GARLAND BROKERAGE represented the buyer in the transaction. The deal was cleared after CAROLINE SMITH withdrew her petition to deny the sale and, in settlement of the issue, sold Tejano KAMT (MEGA 105.1)/CHANNING, TX to VIVA MEDIA, LLC for $351,000 plus a payment of $100,000 for past-due brokerage payments, credited towards the purchase price, and a two-year option to buy the tower for $700,000.
