GOD’S PIT CREW, Christian radio, and JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES came through for the staff of KSBJ EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION Contemporary Christian KSBJ/HOUSTON and NGEN Radio in helping them recover from the devastation of HURRICANE HARVEY. Not only did HARVEY knock the station off the air for several days, causing severe damage to the KSBJ tower, it flooded many of the staff’s homes, cars, property, and loved one’s homes. Several KSBJ team members did not have flood insurance, meaning they would have to spend many thousands of dollars out of pocket to gut and rebuild their homes.
Soon after HARVEY hit, the Christian radio industry and JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES began raising money to help victims of HARVEY, HURRICANE IRMA and KSBJ, providing funds to GOD’S PIT CREW. GOD’S PIT CREW Founder RANDY JOHNSON and two board members flew to HOUSTON, toured three of the KSBJ employee's homes, and offered to rebuild and refurnish all three free of charge. That work is already underway.
“We have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ that He is in control of our life, but when you actually see the hand of God at work, it leaves us speechless," a station staffer said. "Thank you to GOD’S PIT CREW, JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES and Christian radio for what you are doing for our family, it is life changing. To God be the Glory!”
KSBJ’s Pres./GM TIM MCDERMOTT, whose home also flooded during HARVEY, noted, “Talk about God sending people to meet a specific need at the right time. That’s what GOD’S PIT CREW was to KSBJ. Our whole staff – not just the ones who were flooded – were overwhelmed by the love of this ministry. They are true servants – humble, kind and loving men and women of God. God is in the restoration business and that’s right where GOD’S PIT CREW lives.”
