COLORADO PUBLIC RADIO NEWS has named ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY PBS affiliate KAET-TV (ARIZONA PBS)/PHOENIX CRONKITE NEWS Executive Editor and former DENVER POST Editor KEVIN DALE as News Director, effective DECEMBER 6th. As DALE arrives, VP of News KELLEY GRIFFIN is returning to editing stories and working on community engagement.
“KEVIN’s background and success leading versatile, large-scale newsrooms will be a tremendous asset, particularly given that we’ve grown our news team for the past ten years and have plans to double our current news staff of nearly 30 journalists,” said CPR NEWS SVP of Programming SEAN NETHERY. “KEVIN also brings significant experience overseeing technical innovations in delivering news across digital platforms, which will serve CPR well as we build on our vision to be a multi-media, statewide resource for COLORADO.”
“I’m honored to join the exceptional journalists at CPR and excited for the challenge of growing the newsroom and extending our storytelling into new territories,” said DALE. “I have a deep passion for COLORADO and look forward to creating new opportunities to connect Coloradans with the stories that define our community and make our state great.”
