Roger Erickson, Longtime WCCO/Minneapolis Personality, Dies At 89

ROGER ERICKSON, a TWIN CITIES radio legend for his 38-year partnership with the late CHARLIE BOONE on WCCO-A/MINNEAPOLIS, has passed away. The station announced that ERICKSON died MONDAY (10/30) at 89.
ERICKSON, who started in radio at the UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA on KUOM-A and worked at WAVN-A/STILLWATER, MN, joined WCCO in 1959, partnered with BOONE in 1961. and retired from the weekday "BOONE AND ERICKSON" in 1997 and a weekend edition in 1998. The hosts were charter inductees into the MINNESOTA RADIO HALL OF FAME.
