As the paperwork for the ENTERCOM-CBS RADIO swaps in BOSTON and SEATTLE with iHEARTMEDIA and BEASLEY arrive at the FCC, iHEARTMEDIA has placed three stations into a trust, the OCEAN STATION TRUST LLC, for divestiture to satisfy ownership cap issues raised by its swaps of stations in BOSTON, SEATTLE, RICHMOND, and CHATTANOOGA for ENTERCOM and CBS RADIO spinoffs in BOSTON and SEATTLE. iHEARTMEDIA's CITICASTERS LICENSES, LLC placed Alternative KFOO (ALT 102.9)/CENTRALIA-TACOMA, WA and Top 40/Rhythmic KUBE/EATONVILLE-TACOMA, WA into the trust, and AMFM RADIO LICENSES, LLC is putting News-Talk WKOX-A (TALK 1430)/EVERETT-BOSTON, MA into the trust.
In other filings with the FCC, WAY BROADCASTING LICENSEE, LLC is selling Ethnic WATB-A (RAINBOW 1420 AM)/DECATUR-ATLANTA, GA to JDJ COMMUNICATIONS, LLC for $360,000.
TROY L. HALL is selling Religion WTTI-A and W227DG/DALTON, GA to HOPE BROADCASTING, INC. for $10.
EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is selling W284BA/WARWICK, RI to iHEARTMEDIA's CAPSTAR TX, LLC for $360,000. The translator's primary station is listed as Hot AC WSNE (COAST 93.3)/TAUNTON, MA-PROVIDENCE.
NEW LIFE BROADCASTING, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for WNVI-A/MOCA, PR due to lack of power after Hurricane Maria. Likewise, WESTERN NEW LIFE, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for WNVE/CEIBA, PR for the same reason.
RANDY MICHAELS' RADIOACTIVE LLC has requested an extension of its silent STA for WUPG/REPUBLIC, MI due to storm damage.
FAMILY LIFE BROADCASTING, INC. has applied for an STA to operate WJTF/PANAMA CITY, FL with reduced power while it repairs damage from hurricanes.
VIC MICHAEL's CEDAR COVE BROADCASTING, INC., new owner of KPHX-A/PHOENIX, has asked the FCC for an STA to return the station to the air with an emergency long-wire antenna at 90 watts.
DAVIS BROADCAST CO INC. has closed on the sale of KBPD (now KXNZ)/WHEELER, TX to ROUTE 66 MEDIA, LLC for $6,000.
DAVE and CLARE CAPPS' WW2, L.L.C. has closed on the sale of Sports KTEL-A (1490 ESPN)/WALLA WALLA, WA and K259CR/MILTON-FREEWATER, OR; ROUND UP RADIO, INC. has closed on the sale of Top 40 KWVN-F (107.7 HOT FM), News-Talk KUMA-A, and K243CK/PENDLETON, OR, K261BH/HEPPNER, OR, and K237DM/WALLA WALLA; UMA, LLC has closed on the sale of Classic Hits KUMA-F (92.1 PARTY NOW)/PILOT ROCK, OR; and KSRV, INC. has closed on the sale of Country KWHT (K-WHEAT), Sports KTIX-A (ESPN 1240), and K276GF/PENDLETON, OR to RANDOLPH MCKONE's EMG2, LLC for $1.75 million plus an LMA before closing;
And PRIORITY COMMUNICATIONS, INC./PRIORITY COMMUNICATIONS OHIO, LLC has closed on the sale of News-Talk WEIR-A/WEIRTON, WV; Classic Hits WCDK (106.3 THE RIVER)/CADIZ, OH; W234AV/PUNXSUTAWNEY, PA (moving to WEIRTON); and W235BX/COLLIERS, WV, the cluster serving the WHEELING-STEUBENVILLE market, to OHIO MIDLAND NEWSGROUP, LLC for $700,000.
Also, the CLINTON HERALD is reporting that WPW BROADCASTING's PRAIRIE RADIO COMMUNICATIONS is selling Adult Hits KMCN (MAC 94.7) and Adult Standards KCLN-A/CLINTON, IA to BRAD and ASHLEY GEANDREAU's GENDREAU BROADCASTING for an undisclosed price.
And the Commission also affirmed the deletion of PILLAR OF FIRE's license for K255BL/CRAIG, CO for being off the air for over a year. The licensee, which had intended to move the station to rebroadcast its Religion KPOF-A/DENVER under the AM revitalization plan's 250-mile rule, said it had misunderstood the length of time it could keep the station silent and asked that the Commission exercise its discretion to allow the translator to remain licensed. However, the Commission noted that it had warned PILLAR OF FIRE in writing when it acquired the station that it had until DECEMBER 1, 2016 to return the station to the air.
