SIRIUSXM has been hit with another suit over telemarketing calls to cellphones, this time a suit in U.S. District Court in the Southern District of CALIFORNIA.
The complaint, styled as a "Class Action Complaint" with MICHELLE MEZA and STEVE MEZA as lead plaintiffs, alleges that SIRIUSXM violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by calling them after they bought a HYUNDAI Sonata from a dealer in NATIONAL CITY, CA; the MEZAs claim that they did not provide their cell numbers to SIRIUSXM but still received prerecorded calls from SIRIUSXM urging them to extend service once their free trial ended. STEVE MEZA said he told the satellite radio operator he was not interested but that the auto-dialed calls kept coming.
