Maverick Acquires Big Loud Management

Nothing official from either party, but BILLBOARD is reporting that LIVE NATION, the parent company of management firm MAVERICK, has acquired the six-artist management unit of BIG LOUD, which includes BIG LOUD RECORDS artist CHRIS LANE.

MAVERICK encompasses the 11 clients attached to founding member CLARENCE SPALDING's SPALDING ENTERTAINMENT, a group which includes JASON ALDEAN, DARIUS RUCKER, REBA MCENTIRE, RASCAL FLATTS, and BROOKS & DUNN. This transaction will make MAVERICK one of the biggest management groups in NASHVILLE, although BIG LOUD and MAVERICK will maintain separate offices. Also, BIG LOUD RECORDS and BIG LOUD's publishing arm are not part of this deal.
