iHeartMedia Moves Alt 94.9/Birmingham To 99.1 FM Translator

iHEARTMEDIA has moved its HD-translator simulcast Alternative format in BIRMINGHAM fed by WQEN-HD3 from W235BS at 94.9 FM to W256CD/FULTONDALE, AL as ALT 99.1. RED MOUNTAIN is in the process of selling W235BS to COURTNEY FRENCH BROADCASTING, LLC for $385,000, and that translator will rebroadcast Urban Oldies WATV-A (900 GOLD)/BIRMINGHAM (NET NEWS 7/17).

The move displaces the Sports format that translator owner RED MOUNTAIN VENTURES had been programming on W256CD as "99.1 THE GAME" since AUGUST 2016, using a simulcast with WDJC-HD3.
