ENTERCOM Country KSON/SAN DIEGO will undergo a frequency change on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17th at 12p (PT), or as the station website explains, "We reset our preset and updated our radio address." Currently at its longtime 97.3 position, KSON will likely move to 103.7 -- the current home of CBS RADIO Top 40 KEGY -- which is part of the ENTERCOM-CBS RADIO merger set to close FRIDAY. Also acquired from CBS RADIO in the merger, AC KYXY.
KSON has been simulcast on 92.1 KSOQ in ESCONDIDO, CA, but that will end due to ENTERCOM divesting the signal to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION, which plans to flip it to Contemporary Christian. If speculation is correct, and 103.7 is the new dial position for KSON, it will give the station a much stronger footprint in the NORTH COUNTY area of the market.
