Crawford Broadcasting Launches WMUZ-A (The Salt)/Detroit

CRAWFORD BROADCASTING has signed on Religion WMUZ-A (THE SALT)/DETROIT. The station was formerly News-Talk WCHB-A under previous owner URBAN ONE; CRAWFORD bought the station for $2 million earlier this year.  The WCHB calls moved to now-sister WEXL-A on OCTOBER 1st, although the format remained Gospel.

“We believe the addition of WMUZ-AM to our DETROIT family of CBC stations will cement our position as SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN’s beacon for inspirational programming,” GM FRANK FRANCIOSI said. “We are looking forward to this 50,000-watt station standing alongside WMUZ as the Salt and the Light of DETROIT.”
