Matt Shepard Rejoins WDFN/Detroit

MATT SHEPARD is returning to iHEARTMEDIA Sports WDFN-A (1130 THE FAN)/DETROIT for a daily show, reports the DETROIT NEWS.  SHEPARD left WDFN in cutbacks in APRIL and had more recently hosted a podcast; he will host "SHEP, SHOWER 'N' SHAVE" 6-9a (ET) starting MONDAY (11/20) with an eye towards statewide syndication.

SHEPARD's show will be the only local weekday show in the station; the schedule includes FOX SPORTS RADIO programming as well as "BIG DREW" MCCARTHY and JIM COSTA from sister Sports WMAX (ESPN 96.1)/GRAND RAPIDS in afternoons. SHEPARD, who continues as radio voice of UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN basketball and EASTERN MICHIGAN UNIVERSITY football and with television work on FOX SPORTS DETROIT, co-hosted mornings on THE FAN with JAMIE SAMUELSON and GREGG BRADY in 2001-07 and then solo in 2009 through APRIL of this year.
