FORDHAM UNIVERSITY Triple A/ WFUV/NEW YORK’s award-winning series “Strike A Chord” turns its attention to drug addiction in the UNITED STATES. The latest campaign will spotlight organizations that work to support individuals impacted by addiction via of public service announcements, news segments and a “Cityscape” discussion panel produced in conjunction with BRONXNET.
The PSAs will run through NOVEMBER 24th, and the news series will run from NOVEMBER 27th to DECEMBER 1st, featuring a wide range of stories looking at the psychological and behavioral underpinnings of addiction.
"This is a critical time for our Strike a Chord campaign to be focusing on drug addiction. The opioid epidemic is tearing families apart across the nation," said WFUV News & Public Affairs Director GEORGE BODARKY. "We hope this campaign helps to raise awareness about AMERICA's addiction crisis, reduces the stigma of substance abuse, and lets people know help is out there."
