The PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER reports that longtime PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES radio voice SCOTT GRAHAM is unlikely to return to the booth for next season.
GRAHAM has been with the team since 1991 and took over play-by-play duties seven seasons ago. His contract and those of fellow PHILS broadcasters HARRY KALAS, LARRY ANDERSEN, CHRIS WHEELER, and SCOTT FRANZKE expired after the 2006 season, and the paper reports that the team is close to a deal to bring the Hall of Famer KALAS back and is talking to FRANZKE, who joined the PHILLIES this season after working on TEXAS RANGERS broadcasts, about a new deal.
PHILLIES games air on a network headed by CBS Talk WPHT-A/PHILADELPHIA.
