There'll be no more Radio Luncheon at the NAB SHOW in LAS VEGAS in 2018, and the Television Luncheon and Technology Luncheon are also history, replaced by two new events that include some of the content encompassed by the luncheons.
On APRIL 9th, the "NAB Achievement in Broadcasting Dinner," a ticketed event at the ENCORE LAS VEGAS will include the NAB Radio and Television Hall of Fame Awards and the NAB Digital Leadership Award, while on APRIL 10th, the "NAB: We Are Broadcasters Celebration," open to all attendees at the LAS VEGAS CONVENTION CENTER's North Hall, will feature the NAB Crystal Radio Awards, the NAB Crystal Heritage Award, the Radio and Television Engineering Achievement Awards, and the Television Chairman’s Award. And the NAB SHOW's opening event, including the presentation of the NAB Distinguished Service Award, is moving from the WESTGATE hotel adjacent to the LVCC to the convention center's North Hall.
“These changes are an opportunity to better highlight key awards and expose them to a broader NAB SHOW audience,” said NAB EVP of Conventions and Business Operations CHRIS BROWN. “The new schedule also reflects NAB’s focus on keeping the show fresh and relevant while continuing to highlight the great work our industry does from a business, creative and community perspective.”
