ROBERTO MEDINA is selling his 75% of DEPORTES Y MUSICA COMUNICACIONES LLC, licensee of Regional Mexican KQMX (QUÉ BUENA 105.7)/LOST HILLS-BAKERSFIELD, CA and Regional Mexican KRPH (LA RAZA 99.5)/MORRISTOWN, AZ, to 25% partner SMG-MX, LLC for $125,000.
In other filings with the FCC, AVERY, WILLIAM, LAWRENCE, and KELLY HURT are selling their 30% of LUNA COUNTY BROADCASTING COMPANY, licensee of Country KOTS-A and AC KDEM/DEMING, NM, to partners CANDIE SWEETSER and TAMARA HURT for $40,000 ($10,000 for each seller). The buyers, each presently holding 35%, will each own 50% of the company.
ROBERT J INGSTAD's KKAA, LLC is selling KQKD/REDFIELD, SD to I3G RADIO, LLC, owned by himself and siblings TODD INGSTAD and TALLIE COLVILLE, for $25,000.
TOP O' TEXAS EDUCATIONAL BROADCASTING FOUNDATION has requested a Silent STA for KGEE/PECOS, TX due to transmitter failure and lack of funds to replace it.
ABC RADIO LOS ANGELES ASSETS, LLC has filed for another STA to operate K256CX/BEAUMONT, CA, the translator in the SAN GABRIEL VALLEY rebroadcasting Country KRDC-A (RADIO DISNEY COUNTRY)/PASADENA-LOS ANGELES to increase its power, asserting that its present STA that allows it to operate with a different antenna orientation has alleviated interference to co-channel iHEARTMEDIA Top 40/Rhythmic KGGI/RIVERSIDE and that increased power will not increase interference to that station.
The HATTIE REESE TRUST, through trustee WANDA DRY, has closed on the assignment of Oldies WJLX-A and W268BM/JASPER, AL to JOHN BURDETTE.
And YOUR CHRISTIAN COMPANION NETWORK, INC. has closed on the sale of K244FF/LAS CRUCES, NM to BRAVO MIC COMMUNICATIONS, LLC for $32,500. The translator's primary station is listed as BRAVO MIC Hot AC KMVR (MAGIC 105)/MESILLA PARK-LAS CRUCES.
Also, the LA CROSSE TRIBUNE reports that WHITE EAGLE BROADCASTING, INC., licensee of Oldies KQEG (EAGLE 102.7)/LA CRESCENT, MN, and MISSISSIPPI VALLEY BROADCASTERS, LLC, licensee of News-Talk WLFN-A, AC WLXR-F (MAGIC 105), and Country WQCC (KICKS 106.3)/LA CROSSE, WI and Classic Rock WKBH-F (CLASSIC ROCK 100.1)/WEST SALEM, WI, have put their stations up for sale; the companies filed for Debtor-in-Possession status following their Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing earlier this year (NET NEWS 8/4). Managing Partner PAT SMITH told the paper that the stations have been placed with a broker but no bids have yet been received and that the company remains hopeful to emerge from bankruptcy intact.
And the ADIRONDACK DAILY ENTERPRISE reports that the saga of TED MORGAN's cluster in the ADIRONDACKS of upstate NEW YORK has led to the pending auction of the stations' "Radio Park" studio building in SARANAC LAKE, NY in two weeks. MORGAN's license through RADIO LAKE PLACID, INC. for WIRD-A/LAKE PLACID, NY was revoked due to "Red Light" fee payment delinquency in MAY, and while AC WNBZ (Y106.3)/SARANAC LAKE is operating from a PLATTSBURGH office with automated programming, WRGR/TUPPER LAKE, WNBZ-A/SARANAC LAKE, and WLPW/LAKE PLACID are silent, and the real estate has fallen into arrears with officials saying no taxes have been paid on the properties since 2014, when "Radio Park" was put up for tax auction and MORGAN was the high bidder and paid the tax bill.
