WNOR, WAFX Food Drive Serves 667,000 Meals For The Holidays

SAGA COMMUNICATIONS Rock WNOR (FM 99) and sister Classic Rock WAFX (106.9 THE FOX)/NORFOLK will serve a record 667,000 meals thanks to donations made to the stations' 21st Annual MAYFLOWER MARATHON FOOD DRIVE. The annual food drive took place simultaneously at four locations last weekend 11/17-19.

“Once again, listeners, partners, and clients of 106.9 THE FOX and FM99 came together to help the community," Brand Manager MIKE BECK said. "A huge thanks goes out to all for their generous contributions of food, money, and time. The Food banks are able to provide over a half a million meals with the donations collected during the 21st Annual MAYFLOWER MARATHON, so the impact of the event lasts long after the holiday is over. We are proud to support the Food banks and the important work they do for our community."
