Special Releases Highlight Record Store Day This Friday

As part of SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY, more than 1,400 independent record stores across the nation will celebrate the 10th edition od RECORD STORY DAY, starting BLACK FRIDAY, NOV. 24th. They'll be offering a bevy of special releases, including vinyl and picture discs, special in-store events and appearances, and for the first time ever, a new album released on SATURDAY -- a live double album by the band DAWES, who will also do an in-store live performance at FINGERPRINTS MUSIC in LONG BEACH, CA.
Also appearing at other retailers will be RICHARD HELL at ROUGH TRADE, NYC and DARRYL “DMC” MCDANIELS at VINTAGE VINYL in FORDS, NJ.
Among the special releases only available at indie record stores (many of which have limited runs) are by artists as diverse as REM, ANTHRAX, CHUCK BERRY, THE BYRDS, GORILLAZ, ISAAC HAYES, PAUL MCCCARTNEY, WILLIE NELSON, QUEEN, SONNY ROLLINS, U2, MUDDY WATERS, CHECK ATKINS, PETULA CLARK, LOU REED & KRIS KRISTOFFERSON Live, SUN RA, BRIAN SETZER ORCHESTRA, ARETHA FRANKLIN, THE GRATEFUL DEAD, WAYLON JENNINGS, DAVE MATTHEWS, OTIS REDDONG, RUSH, SNOOP DOGG, SUBLIME and NEIL YOUNG.
