LANCE ZIERLEIN is returning to radio with a familiar partner, JOHN GRANATO, as the duo reunites for "THE BENCH," mornings 7-9a (CT) at GOW MEDIA Sports WFNC (ESPN 97.5)/HOUSTON, starting MONDAY (11/27), according to co-owned CULTUREMAP HOUSTON. ZIERLEIN will then stay on the air for an extra half hour with GRANATO and RAHEEL RAMZALANI at 9a, with the latter two on until 11 ZIERLEIN and GRANATO's 7-9a shift takes the place of half of the station's carriage of ESPN RADIO's morning show (formerly MIKE AND MIKE, becoming GOLIC AND WINGO).
ZIERLEIN and GRANATO were the morning team at crosstown CBS RADIO Sports KILT-A (SPORTS RADIO 610) for nine years before both separately left KILT and moved to GOW's KGOW-A (then KILE-A, 1560 THE GAME) in 2007. ZIERLEIN left in 2011 and joined iHEARTMEDIA Sports KBME-A (SPORTSTALK 790); he departed the morning show there earlier this year.
“LANCE has long been one of the top talents in sports. He can both inform and entertain,” said GOW MEDIA CEO DAVID GOW. “And to reunite JOHN and LANCE is a homerun. For years people have asked me when those two could do a show again -- now the stars have aligned.”
“LANCE caps off a great year for us,” added GOW. “With KEN HOFFMAN, CHARLIE PALLILO and now LANCE ZIERLEIN joining our already-strong roster of talent, we believe we have assembled a 'dream team' at GOW MEDIA.”
