DMR/INTERACTIVE Pres./COO ANDREW CURRAN's latest blog post calls on President DONALD TRUMP to reconsider his putting the traditional weekly Presidential Radio Address on "hiatus" (NET NEWS 11/21).
In his post, CURRAN likens TRUMP to "a media buyer who inherited a bad spot schedule and wasn’t able to attribute sufficient ROI" and calls the end of the address "a huge mistake" for TRUMP. "It’s in radio’s interest to keep the President of the UNITED STATES on the air," CURRAN contends, regardless of politics, and for TRUMP, CURRAN says, "for an administration that has relied on unscripted Tweets as its primary communication strategy, the opportunity to provide context and perspective on current events as well as look forward to the week ahead is invaluable."
