MIKE CURB has announced the formation of CURB/WORD ENTERTAINMENT and the elevation of several key staffers. BENSON CURB has been promoted to SVP/Revenue & Marketing, JEFF TUERFF segues to SVP/Marketing, and RYAN DOKKE is upped to SVP/Promotion, all for the newly-formed CURB/WORD ENTERTAINMENT. The three executives will oversee the 12-member CURB/WORD ENTERTAINMENT Marketing & Promotion department. Longtime CURB executive BRYAN STEWART has also been promoted to SVP/A&R for CURB/WORD ENTERTAINMENT, and JIM ED NORMAN will serve as CEO/Recorded Music & Publishing for the group.
"CURB/WORD ENTERTAINMENT is a natural progression in the evolution of these two vibrant entities, allowing us to share our core marketing and promotion resources to benefit all artist on combined rosters," said CURB/WORD ENTERTAINMENT Chairman MIKE CURB. Added NORMAN, "We've witnessed dramatic changes in the entertainment industry over the last decade. BENSON, BRYAN, JEFF, and RYAN have met these challenges with the necessary enthusiasm and understanding to successfully market music and artists to multiple genres. This combined company effort will allow artists on our rosters to draw on the full breadth of experience and talent these executives exhibit. Bringing CURB and WORD together will create opportunities for our artists that individual and separate companies can't."
