FCC Commissioner BRENDAN CARR has made some changes in his staff, adding TECHFREEDOM Dir./Public Affairs EVAN SWARZTRAUBER as Policy Advisor for media issues, sending Acting Legal Advisor for wireless, public safety, and international issues KEVIN HOLMES back to the Office of Legislative Affairs, and retaining Acting Legal Advisor or media, consumer protection, and enforcement issues NIRALI PATEL on an interim basis, adding advisory duties for wireless, public safety, and international issues.
“I am delighted that EVAN has agreed to join my office,” said CARR. “EVAN has a keen instinct for communications policy, having worked on a broad range of technology and telecom issues -- from broadcasting to broadband deployment. I look forward to drawing on his expertise as we continue to advance policies that will create jobs, spur investment, and grow the economy for the benefit of all Americans.”
On HOLMES, CARR said, “KEVIN has been an invaluable member of my team, and I am grateful that he agreed to serve in my office for the past few months. With his help, we were able to hit the ground running and make immediate progress on my priorities, including taking initial steps to streamline the deployment of wireless infrastructure. I am glad the Commission will continue to benefit from KEVIN’s public service.”
