Overall Country PPM Shares Held Steady In November

Country's November Report Card

Country radio's NOVEMBER listening shares were relatively consistent on both month-to-month and year-to-year levels, based on the just-released PPM monthly results from NIELSEN AUDIO. Among persons 6+, Country radio was flat from OCTOBER to NOVEMBER at 7.5, and slightly up (7.3-7.5) from NOVEMBER 2016.

The format dipped slightly from OCTOBER PPM levels among 18-34s (8.5-8.3), with Country off .04 among Millennials compared to NOVEMBER 2016 (8.7-8.3). The format's traditional core demo, 25-54, is steady as she goes: 7.1-7.1 OCTOBER-NOVEMBER, and flat from NOVEMBER 2016 levels (7.1), as well.

A check of Country radio's performance compared to other formats in NOVEMBER shows a #3 rank among persons 6+ behind News/Talk (10.2) and AC (7.6). Country placed #2, behind Top 40 (11.3), with 18-34s and #4 with 25-54s, trailing Top 40 (8.5), News/Talk (7.5), and AC (7.4).
