Alan Horn Stepping Down, Edward Rogers III Moving Up To Rogers Communications Inc. Chair

ROGERS TELECOMMUNICATIONS LTD. President/CEO ALAN HORN is stepping down as Chair of the Board of ROGERS COMMUNICATIONS effective JANUARY 1st, and current Deputy Chair and ROGERS CONTROL TRUST and TORONTO BLUE JAYS Chair EDWARD ROGERS will move up to replace HORN as Chair. ROGERS CONTROL TRUST Vice Chair and ROGERS VENTURE PARTNERS founder MELINDA ROGERS will become Deputy Chair, and HORN will remain on the ROGERS COMMUNICATIONS Board.
"The company is in great shape, there is great momentum in the business and the company is being led by an outstanding CEO in JOE NATALE," said HORN. "This is the right time for the Board to make the planned transition of the Chair's role to EDWARD."
"On behalf of the Board and the entire ROGERS team, I would like to thank ALAN for his terrific leadership as our Chair," said EDWARD ROGERS. "I look forward to working with the Board to support JOE and the management team as they deliver on the strategic vision for ROGERS."
