Portland Man Wins 'Next Progressive Talk Radio Star' Contest

The winner of the contest to find AMERICA's "next progressive talk radio star" is RUSS BELVILLE, a contestant representing CLEAR CHANNEL Talk KPOJ-A/PORTLAND, who beat out Talk KKZN-A (AM 760 PROGRESSIVE TALK)/DENVER contestant CURTIS HANNUM in the finals THURSDAY (11/16). 

The contest, organized by CLEAR CHANNEL, JONES RADIO NETWORKS, and the CENTER FOR AMERICAN PROGRESS, pitted newcomers from markets across the country against each other in a competition to win the chance to develop a new syndicated liberal talk show.
