As the return of STEVE BANNON to "BREITBART NEWS RADIO" draws criticism to SIRIUSXM, the satellite service is emphasizing the left side of politics with its latest collaboration, a deal with DAVID BROCK's SHAREBLUE MEDIA to convert the third hour of the SATURDAY morning show "SIGNAL BOOST" to "SIGNAL BOOST POWERED BY SHAREBLUE MEDIA." The hour will feature reporters from the SHAREBLUE website, starting this SATURDAY (12/16). "SIGNAL BOOST" is hosted by SHAREBLUE Executive Editor JESS MCINTOSH and SIRIUSXM Director of Progressive Programming ZERBINA MAXWELL, both former HILLARY CLINTON 2016 campaign staffers.
“SIRIUSXM PROGRESS is home to some of the most important voices in our movement right now, so a collaboration is an especially exciting opportunity for SHAREBLUE MEDIA as we continue to grow at breakneck speed,” said MCINTOSH. “Their thoughtful and resonant commentary compliments the vital role that SHAREBLUE MEDIA plays with our original political reporting. We're thrilled to bring these important communities together to stand up for our American values, cut through the noise with honesty and optimism, and provide unapologetically progressive content to embolden the resistance."
“The election of DONALD TRUMP has energized the Progressive base like never before,” said MAXWELL. “We’re proud to team up with SHAREBLUE MEDIA and share their crucial voice with SIRIUSXM’s vast audience. Together we will provide fellow progressives with not only information, but marching orders on how to push back against the TRUMP administration’s agenda.”
Some celebrities, including SETH ROGEN, MELISSA ETHERIDGE, and JOHN LEGUIZAMO, have said they will not appear on SIRIUSXM due to BANNON's return to the BREITBART show, which airs on SIRIUSXM PATRIOT.
