Supertalk Gives Way To Sports In 2007

CUMULUS Talk KFNC/HOUSTON, preparing to flip to Sports in JANUARY, has inked SIMMONS Sports KQPN-A (730ESPN)/MEMPHIS PD JON MADANI to take over as its new PD, effective DECEMBER 1. 

MADANI, a former ESPN RADIO producer, tells the HOUSTON CHRONICLE's DAVID BARRON that he'll "have about a month to discuss things and listen to people and ask questions and get us settled in on the right path.... I think we have to be local in afternoon drive, but I don't know if it will be a five-person show, a one-person show or if it will be [announcers] from TEXAS or somewhere else."
