WPLR/New Haven's Chaz And AJ Hold Toy Drive Friday

CONNOISSEUR MEDIA Top 40 WPLR/NEW HAVEN's morning team CHAZ AND AJ will be broadcasting live from JORDAN'S FURNITURE in NEW HAVEN FRIDAY morning (12/12), collecting toys and cash for their "CHAZ AND AJ MCDERMOTT CHEVROLET AND LEXUS Toy Drive."  

The benefit, featuring performances by GRAND FUNK RAILROAD's MARK FARNER, PINK FLOYD cover band THE MACHINE, and local party band DARIK AND THE FUNBAGS, will solicit toy donations for children in need, with distribution through the MCGIVNEY COMMUNITY CENTER OF BRIDGEPORT, BOYS AND GIRLS VILLAGE OF MILFORD, CENTER FOR HUMAN SERVICES OF STRATFORD, RITE-WAY-4-KIDS OF NEW HAVEN and THE BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF LOWER NAUGATUCK VALLEY.  Previous drives have collected over $100,000 in toys.

“This is the definition of what the holiday season is about,“ said CHAZ, “neighbors helping neighbors and a community coming together in the best way possible”.

“This is biggest and best event CHAZ and AJ do all year,” said Regional OM KEITH DAKIN. “It’s loud, it’s funny and it’s always a great turnout of huge fans of the show who have no hesitation in opening their hearts and wallets to those who need help each year.”
