It may turn out that APPLE may have had a very good CHRISTMAS after all -- at least in the week leading up to it. The FURRY ANALYTICS blog reports that APPLE ruled the roost when it comes to new smartphone and tablet activations.
Identical to last year, APPLE devices comprised 44% of new phone and tablet activations. SAMSUNG, while the global market share leader, had only 26% of its devices activated. Its activation rate rose 5% from the 2016 holiday season, probably due to its introduction of the Galaxy S8 after the late 2016 recall of their malfunctioning Note devices.
