FCC Chairman Ajit Pai Won't Be Appearing At CES Next Week After All

No Show

FCC Commissioner AJIT PAI has pulled out of an appearance at CES 2018 in LAS VEGAS next week.

PAI was scheduled for the FCC Commissioner's annual appearance at the technology convention next TUESDAY, alongside FTC Acting Chair MAUREEN OHLHAUSEN with CONSUMER TECHNOLOGY ASSOCIATION President GARY SHAPIRO moderating, but PAI canceled without comment.  While many in the technology industry are not happy with PAI's aggressive move to end Net Neutrality, SHAPIRO and the CTA were supportive of PAI.

The CTA issued a terse statement noting PAI's cancellation, adding, “We look forward to our next opportunity to host a technology policy discussion with him before a public audience.”
