Huge congrats to iHEARTMEDIA Top 40 KZHT/SALT LAKE CITY PD JEFF McCARTNEY on clocking in 20 years of being the PD at the same radio station.

McCARTNEY told ALL ACCESS, "I came here from WKCI/NEW HAVEN's PD chair.  I made the drive out on NEW YEAR EVE 1997 and spent that night at a DAYS INN in GARY, IN.  It was so depressing a place and I went to sleep at 8p that night.  I drove for two more days and arrived on JANUARY 2nd and began work the following day.  

"I have had a lot of great opportunities with the company to move up, but I really developed a true love for the area -- a phenomenal place to live and work alongside of some incredible people over these past 20 years.  We have all shared  the common goals of building KZHT into the great radio station it is today.  I recently was named PD at AC KJMY as well and am also Top 40 Brand Coordinator for iHEARTMEDIA so I'm as excited about what I do today as I was when I began here 20 years ago."

The staff had a get together for JEFF on FRIDAY (1/5).
