Podtrac Releases December Podcast Industry Audience Rankings, Top Podcast List

December Rankings

After revising its NOVEMBER podcast rankings when consultant and ALL ACCESS columnist JAMES CRIDLAND noted discrepancies in the lists (NET NEWS 1/3), PODTRAC has released its DECEMBER 2017 ranking of podcast publishers and top podcast lists (but not the "snackable podcast" rankings it unveiled in NOVEMBER but which had the discrepancies involving iHEARTRADIO podcasts).

In the publisher rankings, iHEARTMEDIA, last ranked second, is out of the list, as is BARSTOOL SPORTS, last month's number 10; AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA and WBUR/BOSTON are back in the top 10.

The publisher rankings, which, again, only include shows opting in for PODTRAC's Podcast Measurement System for the full month (and missing some of the largest shows and publishers) and ranked by unique U.S. monthly audience:
