ALL ACCESS has learned that longtime CLEAR CHANNEL Talk WGST-A/ATLANTA morning host TOM HUGHES has exited the station, giving his farewell on TUESDAY morning's show.
HUGHES, who was with WGST for 26 years, will be replaced by a locally augmented version of THE WALL STREET JOURNAL THIS MORNING, with the one-hour show repeating three times between 5-8a supplemented by updated news, traffic, and local content.
And later in the morning, WGST let midday host DENNY SCHAEFFER and longtime afternoon host KIM "THE KIMMER" PETERSON go as well. Sister WLW-A/CINCINNATI host MIKE MCCONNELL's syndicated show will replace SCHAEFFER, and syndicated DAVE RAMSEY moves into the KIMMER's afternoon slot, with ABC's MARK LEVIN in for evenings. Producers CRYSTAL LAKE and LESLIE SHARP have also exited along with the hosts.
