RadioPublic Unveils 'Paid Listens' Ad Revenue Model For Smaller Podcasts

RADIOPUBLIC has unveiled a new ad sales initiative for smaller podcasts that are not yet at scale to reach larger audiences. "Paid Listens" is a program under which the smaller shows, played through RADIOPUBLIC's player, will be bracketed by ads sold by RADIOPUBLIC; the show producers will be paid a $20 CPM for every 1,000 listens.
A MEDIUM post by PRX's JAKE SHAPIRO explains that his company's philosophy is that "(C)reators should be paid for their efforts" and that RADIOPUBLIC is committed to "building a marketplace" for podcasters and advertisers.
