George R. Kravis II

Condolences to the family and friends of GEORGE R. KRAVIS II, who passed away FEBRUARY 12, after a long illness.

In 1962, he began his twenty five year career in the broadcasting business, when he started KRAV/TULSA. In 1966 he purchased KFMJ, which became KGTO. He was one of the youngest and earliest founders of an FM station in the U.S.

In lieu of flowers, GEORGE KRAVIS has expressed the wish that donations be made for arts education. Funeral Services will be 10a on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16th, at FITZGERALD IVY CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 14th and South Boulder Avenue, in TULSA.
