The IMG RAZORBACK SPORTS NETWORK has made a change in baseball analysts for UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS baseball radio broadcasts this season, with longtime analyst RICK SCHAEFFER exiting and former RAZORBACKS outfielder BUBBA CARPENTER taking over as analyst for home games. PHIL ELSON returns to handle play-by-play for his fourth season.
“I am excited for this opportunity,” said CARPENTER, who briefly played for the COLORADO ROCKIES after a stellar collegiate career and long run in minor league baseball. “I’ve been a RAZORBACK fan since I was a little boy when my dad started taking me to GEORGE COLE FIELD and to have this opportunity to call games on the radio for the RAZORBACKS is something I’m really looking forward to.”
“As a former RAZORBACK and someone who remains active with the game, BUBBA CARPENTER will provide our listeners insights from the perspective of a baseball insider,” added IMG GM DAVID SHOEMAKER. “BUBBA understands the nuances of the game and appreciates the passion fans in our state have for RAZORBACK Baseball. He will be a great compliment to PHIL ELSON in the booth for what promises to be another memorable season on the RAZORBACK BASEBALL NETWORK FROM IMG.”
