RAY MORAN, founder of LUBBOCK-based radio and TV group RAMAR COMMUNICATIONS, died FEBRUARY 11th at 82.

MORAN worked in TV and radio in several markets, including SAN ANGELO, TX; ROSWELL, NM; LUBBOCK; and ALBUQUERQUE, rising to GM of KRST and KRZY-A/ALBUQUERQUE before returning to LUBBOCK to put KTEZ (now ALPHA MEDIA Rock KONE) on the air in 1972.   RAMAR grew to include 16 radio stations in TEXAS, NEW MEXICO, and COLORADO and FOX affiliate KJTV (TV) (FOX 34, formerly KJAA-TV)/LUBBOCK, founded in 1981.
