CBS RADIO is selling three AM stations in GREENSBORO-WINSTON SALEM, NC to CURTIS MEDIA GROUP for $8.375 million. CURTIS will get Talk simulcast WSJS-A and WSML-A and Talk WMFR-A in the deal. CBS owns no other stations in the market, while CURTIS owns Talk WZTK and Oldies WPCM-A/BURLINGTON, NC.
"We are delighted to have this family of great News/Talk stations join our group of NORTH CAROLINA stations," said CURTIS Pres. DONALD CURTIS in a press release. "We feel that along with our existing operation at WZTK, NEWS/TALK 101, and our presence in the State Capitol with WPTF, we will be able to offer the listeners in the Triad an even better list of choices in the News/Talk arena."
