Anchor Streaming Audio App Gets An Update, And Now It's A Podcast Creation Tool

The ANCHOR audio streaming app has been updated to version 3.0, and the new version is being promoted as a podcast creation app.

Whereas the original app allowed users to create their own streams for live Internet broadcasting, the new app gives users tools to record and distribute their own podcasts directly from their phones, with podcasts including music from APPLE MUSIC or SPOTIFY if heard within the ANCHOR app, voice message capability, and the ability to rearrange segments within episodes.  The app also includes web tools that sync with the app and allow users to upload existing audio, edit together various segments into an episode, and get analytics.  Podcasts will also get landing web pages with custom URLs, and distribution via all of the major podcast distribution platforms, including SPOTIFY.

Launch partners include CHEDDAR, ATLANTIC RECORDS, RELAY FM, BUZZFEED, and FATHERLY, among others, and THE PLAYERS' TRIBUNE has joined to offer athletes the ability to create podcasts with the app.
