Word Could Come As Early As Today
THE NEW YORK POST is reporting that SONY BMG is set to announce layoffs at its Urban Music Division.
The POST cites several sources both inside and outside the company as saying that the dissolution of SONY URBAN, which was created under the former regime of DON IENNER and MICHELLE ANTHONY, is imminent, with an official announcement coming by DECEMBER 1st and possibly as early as today.
Sources appeared divided on what the folding of SONY URBAN means for Division President LISA ELLIS, who was installed a year ago.
