SPALDING ENTERTAINMENT's CLARENCE SPALDING was honored with the BOB KINGSLEY LIVING LEGEND AWARD last night (2/28), during a ceremony at the GRAND OLE OPRY HOUSE. The award was created in 2014 to recognize deserving individuals among the record, label, creative, production, radio, and media communities. The evening benefits the OPRY TRUST FUND, which aids members of the Country music community in need.
Artists who helped present the honor to SPALDING, which is a surprise award, included JASON ALDEAN, BROOKS & DUNN, DARIUS RUCKER, RASCAL FLATTS, EXILE, AND TERRI CLARK. Industry leaders on hand to celebrate included recently-retired OPRY ENTERTAINMENT President STEVE BUCHANAN, CMA AWARDS Producer ROBERT DEATON, WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE Chairman JOHN ESPOSITO, SONY MUSIC NASHVILLE Chairman RANDY GOODMAN, LIVE NATION's BRIAN O'CONNELL, GRAND OLE OPRY GM SALLY WILLIAMS and others.
