KDWB Listeners Really Love The PS3

Some KDWB/MINNEAPOLIS listeners would! The TWIN CITIES PIONEER PRESS reports that the CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40's morning man, DAVE RYAN, conducted what he calls a "social experiment" yesterday morning (11/21) by asking if people would give up their baby for 24 hours to KDWB morning show producer STEVE LATART in exchange for the SONY PLAYSTATION 3, and more than a dozen people called and said they would.

"We got more calls than we could handle," RYAN tells the paper. "They were lined up willing to turn their kids over to strangers for a freakin' PLAYSTATION."

LATART says, "There were a lot of phone calls that we didn't even get to, and I would say three- quarters of them were serious."

In fact, one caller named KATIE said she would give up her 1-month-old child for three days so that she could sell the video-game console on eBAY to make extra money for the holidays. When the morning show finally admitted it was all a hoax, KATIE even called back and asked, "Does that mean I don't get the PLAYSTATION?"

"I'm like, 'Yeah, you're a dumb ass, and you don't get the PLAYSTATION,'" RYAN responded. "In a way it's flattering that we've built up 13 years of trust, and that's great. Yet at the same time, hey, we thought we knew KRAMER [MICHAEL RICHARDS of "SEINFELD"] too. You just never know."
