FCC Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau Acting Chief PATRICK WEBRE gets the "acting" part of his title removed and is now officially Bureau Chief. WEBRE rejoined the Commission last year as Acting Chief of the bureau after a stint at the JENNER & BLOCK law firm in WASHINGTON; he had previously served as an Associate Bureau Chief and Chief Programs Officer for the FCC Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau, Legal Advisor to the Media Bureau Chief, and as an attorney in the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau.
Chairman AJIT PAI said, “We work for the American consumer and it’s our Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau which is tasked with keeping a steady eye on consumers’ needs and concerns. Every day, the Bureau takes on vital tasks like fielding consumer complaints, ensuring accessibility of telecom services, and fighting scam calls. It’s reassuring that this work will continue to benefit from PATRICK’s leadership and talents.”
