Chris Matthews Named PD At KBEB/Sacramento

Former ENTERCOM Country KMLE/PHOENIX APD/MD/morning personality CHRIS MATTHEWS has been named PD/afternoons for iHEARTMEDIA Country KBEB (92.5 THE BULL)/SACRAMENTO, effective today (3/12). He succeeds BRYAN "B-DUB" WASHINGTON, who transferred to iHEART Country sister KWBL/DENVER last month (NET NEWS 2/5).

"We were looking for a creative thinker to take ownership and grow the BULL brand," said iHEARTMEDIA SVP/SACRAMENTO CURTISS JOHNSON. "Someone who is a PD and entertainer with deep roots in the Country community. CHRIS MATTHEWS is that guy. I have no doubt he will put 92.5 THE BULL front and center in the minds of SACRAMENTO Country fans." 

MATTHEWS, who left KMLE in JANUARY (NET NEWS 1/22), commented, "I am thrilled to get to work with the amazing team at iHEARTMEDIA/SACRAMENTO. There is a two ton buckin’ BULL ready to dominate the SACRAMENTO airwaves, and I can’t wait to open the chute!"
